Cake Smash Sessions

Your baby is turning ONE - What an exciting and monumental time this is! I know firsthand just how stressful this time can be, and that’s why I want to make your milestone session as enjoyable and easy as possible.

The Theme

Before your session, we will discuss a theme or color scheme you would like to use. As a part of your session, I am happy to provide balloons and a banner or garland that matches your theme. You are welcome to bring any other decorations or props you would like to include. I always suggest a favorite toy to help remember this sweet stage.

The Cake

For allergy reasons, I ask that parents bring the cake. Publix makes a great affordable 7” cake that works perfect for cake smash sessions! Light, non-staining icing colors will photograph best! I will provide a cake stand.

The Session

I want to help capture all the expressions and precious mannerisms that will forever remind you of this moment when you look back at these photos.

We will begin with some playful shots of just your little before we bring out the cake. This is a great time to get photos in that ‘cute’ outfit before we get messy!

Next we will change outfits if you would like and bring out the cake and let the fun begin!

Cake Smash Tips

• Some babies have no idea what to do with a cake - it’s helpful to bring a familiar snack that we can smoosh into the back of the cake (cheerios/puffs/etc.)

• Bring a backup outfit in case of any accidents and a ride-home outfit for after cake

• Bring a familiar or favorite toy that will bring out those picture smiles
